Liverpool and Everton stars Raheem Sterling and Ross Barkley have the quality to play for Barcelona, according to Xavi Hernandez.
The two youngsters are playing at a consistently good level at present, both for their club’s and at international level, leading to heavy interest from a number of top European clubs.
And, Xavi, who broke into Barcelona’s side when he was just 18-years-old, has discussed how both would have what it takes to play at the Camp Nou.
“Yes, why not? I think that they could,” he told Squawka. “They have incredible physical capabilities and they are good technically.
“In Spain, we prioritise players who are technically gifted but both things are very important in football.”
