Manchester United star Juan Mata has praised the honesty of boss Louis van Gaal.
Spanish international Mata has struggled to find playing time under the Dutch boss this season, playing only three full matches and has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the January transfer window.
However, the former Chelsea man has discussed how he is happy with the honesty of Van Gaal about his situation at the club.
“He is, above all, honest. He tells you the good and bad to your face,” he told Cope.
Mata then discussed the club’s aims this season and said that a return to European football is a must.
“The aim is to get in the Champions League because the club did not qualify last season,” he added.
“We’d all love to the team to score more goals but, in the end, the forwards will end up scoring more than 15 goals.”
