Benfica manager Jorge Jesus has dismissed talk that Enzo Perez is joining Manchester United this January.
The Argentine international has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford since Dutch boss Louis van Gaal arrived at the club this summer.
Scouts from United have been in Portugal in recent weeks, casting an eye over the 28-year-old, however, Benfica boss Jorge Jesus is confident that he will keep hold of the attacker past January.
“In my mind, nothing. Zero. What is being said is one thing, reality is another,” he told reporters when asked about the chances of Perez leaving.
“The player is extremely pleased, never showed displeasure or desire to leave. Nothing leads me to believe that it is true [that he will leave in January]. I’m calm.”
Perez has a £23.5m release clause at Benfica.
