Man United lead January race to sign Yohan Cabaye

Manchester United are ahead in the race to sign Paris Saint Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye, Football Express News understands.

Cabaye joined PSG in January from Premier League side Newcastle United but he has failed to hold down a regular first team place, struggling to find better form than the likes of Marco Verratti and Thiago Motta.

The French international admitted his frustrations last month, leading to a number of top European clubs to show interest.

“To be honest, I am not happy,” the midfielder told L’Equipe. “This is new ground for me and I’m not complaining, as I’ve never complained because it’s not in my nature.”

And, following even more lack of playing time, Cabaye is on the verge of a move back to England in the January transfer window.

Manchester United are leading the race and are prepared to do all they can to make the move happen, whilst Arsenal and Liverpool are also toying a bid.
