Spurs ready bid as Arsenal drop out of Thauvin race

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a £15m bid for Marseille attacker Florian Thauvin after seeing rivals Arsenal drop their interest.

French side Marseille have slapped a £15m price tag on the midfielder, who now looks set to become one of European football’s top targets in the January transfer window.

Thauvin has attracted the interest of a number of top European clubs in recent months with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all being credited with interest.

However, it is understood that Spurs are the club with serious interest at this stage and boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly told his officials to submit a bid in the coming weeks.

The 21-year-old joined Marseille from Lille in the summer of 2013 and has been one of the Ligue 1 club’s top performers.
