Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was left unhappy after his side struggled to beat Queens Park Rangers 2-1 on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues sit four points clear at the top of the Premier League and in full control over their nearest rivals Southampton, however, Mourinho has refused to get carried away by their impressive start to the season and hit out at his players for their subdued performance.
“I’m not happy, my team didn’t play well enough. We had periods of good football, but not consistently. I expected more. We deserved to win but one thing is to deserve and play well. We did not play very, very well,” he told reporters.
Picking up on the individual performance of Diego Costa, Mourinho further vented his frustrations.
“He didn’t have a very good performance, like the team,” Mourinho said. “After injury, it is not just your body, but your brain. The next match for him will be better.”
