Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has admitted that he had not sympathy for Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard after his title slip up last season.
The former England captain lost his feet during a must-win game against Chelsea last season, allowing Demba Ba to scored and see the London side win 2-0 at Anfield.
The result would cost Liverpool’s Premier League title challenge as they lost out to Sergio Aguero’s Man City on the final day of the season.
“I watched Liverpool’s game later in the evening and I didn’t feel sorry for Steven Gerrard when he slipped and Demba Ba scored, I was only bothered about what was important to us and that was that they lost,” Aguero says in his new book ‘Born to Rise’.
“Not that I don’t respect Gerrard, it was just his mistake helped Chelsea win which is what we needed to happen.”
