Victor Valdes will continue his rehabilitation from injury at Manchester United, with a contract offer set to be submitted.
The former Barcelona keeper is still recovering from an injury which saw him miss the final months of his time with Catalan side Barca and has been linked with a move to numerous Premier League clubs.
Liverpool have maintained heavy interest but doubts from the Merseyside club over the keepers recovery and fitness stopped such a deal from making any progress.
Therefore, Manchester United have now stolen the march by signing the keeper on a short term deal which will see him complete his rehab at Old Trafford.
Valdes will not be classed as a United player, although, it is understood that the club have prepared a contract offer for when he is fully fit.
