Soldado calls for Spurs to remain positive

Roberto Soldado has urged his Tottenham Hotspur teammates to remain positive after their 4-1 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.

Spurs held the reigning Premier League champions for a time at the Etihad stadium but could do nothing about a superb individual performance from Sergio Aguero, who scored all four goals as the score ended 4-1 to the home side.

Soldado, missed a spot kick during the game which would have seen his side level at 2-2, but he is not dwelling in the miss and has called for his team-mates to focus and remain positive ahead of their Europa League game against Asteras Tripolis on Thursday.

“Now we need to forget this game ahead of Thursday and Sunday and look forward,” he told the club’s official website. “We are producing some good performances and we need to keep this going. I am working hard and I think the goals are coming soon.”
