Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward was caught on camera during the 2-2 draw with West Brom calling one of his players a ‘f******g waste of money’.

Woodward’s rant was filmed by television cameras after former Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom hit the crossbar for West Brom as United were 2-1 down at the Hawthorns on Monday night.

The score ended 2-2, but the much talked about United chief was seen swearing in what looks like a comment such as ‘f*****g waste of money’.

Manager Louis van Gaal was also frustrated at his side for their lacklustre performance.

“It is two points lost,’ he told reporters. “I think we were the better team. I am very disappointed about the result.

“I don’t think West Bromwich Albion has created many chances, I think zero, and we gave the two goals away.

“We have created four chances in the first half and seven in the second half. I am happy about our playing style but not happy with the result.”
