Jorge Messi has insisted that his son Lionel had nothing to do with his tax payments and is not responsible for the allegations of fraud.
The Barcelona and Argentina forward is set to face trial over alleged tax evasion after a Spanish judge chose to through a request for charges to be dropped last month.
The Messi’s have strongly insisted that Leo had nothing to do with the situation and his father, Jorge, has reiterated that point once more to Cadena COPE.
“I want to be quite cautious over this [topic],” he told Cadena COPE .
“I have always said it: he [Lionel] had absolutely nothing to do with it, so there is no need to talk about it.
“My lawyers are dealing with this issue so it’s something with me and has nothing to do with him.”
