Lukas Podolski has insisted his current situation at Arsenal ‘has to change’ or he will be looking to leave in January.
The German winger has struggled for playing time this season and has featured in just 37 minutes of football for the Gunners, struggling to fight the likes of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez for a starting place.
Numerous clubs have monitored his current situation and links to Inter Milan became known last week, prompting the former Bayern Munich forward to discuss his future with reporters whilst on international duty with the German national side.
“I have assessed my position in the team, and it has to change now,” he told reporters.
“Let’s see what happens in the winter. The fact is that I’m not happy with it, that’s clear.”
Poldolski, whose contract expires in 2016 is fully expected to now leave the club in January.
