Mourinho to hurt Wenger again as Khedira approach is made

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is keen on making a January move for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, jumping ahead of Arsenal.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been strongly linked with a move for the German international and was hoping to secure his signature in the coming January transfer window.

Wenger has been interested in Khedira since the turn of the summer but was unable to secure the signing after the former Stuttgart man got injured whilst on international duty with the German national team this summer in Brazil.

Reports in Spanish and English press have claimed that the Gunners had agreed terms with Khedira over a move, but it is now looking increasingly likely that Jose Mourinho will make an attempt to sign the midfielder.

Mourinho has worked alongside Khedira before during his time at Santiago Bernabeu and is keen to beat Arsenal to the signature, trumping them once again, after beating them to other targets in recent windows.
