Man United face losing Vidal to Real Madrid

Manchester United could lose out on Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, after talks between he and Real Madrid opened up over the weekend.

Van Gaal and United have held long-term interest in Chilean midfielder Vidal and have made several bids to his Italian club – Juventus, this past summer but failed to reach an agreement.

However, it is understood that officials at Old Trafford are ready to make a ‘last-chance’ bid for the central midfielder and have learnt that he will hold talks with Juve in the coming weeks.

Vidal was recently fined £80,ooo for getting involved in an altercation on a night out last week in Turin and his time at the club now seems to be coming to an end.

However, United have now become worried by talks between Vidal’s agent Fernando Felicevich and Real Madrid over the weekend.

Madrid are keen to spend big on the Chilean as they seek to replace Xabi Alonso in the long term, leaving United with the possibility in missing out on the midfielder.
