Sterling agrees new Liverpool deal

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Raheem Sterling to renew and improve his current contract.

The lively winger has been gaining interest from a number of top European clubs, including the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid, but it is fully expected after long contract negotiations – that the England international will now sing a new deal.

Sterling has three years remaining on his current deal, which he signed in 2012, although his performances on the field for both club and country have rushed Liverpool to renew and offer improved terms.

Meanwhile, improved deals for Jordan Henderson and Glen Johnson are at different stages, with the latter looking increasingly likely to leave Merseyside on a free transfer next summer.

Whilst, Henderson is currently in talks over a new deal.
