Arsenal youngster Calum Chambers has discussed his international debut for England, saying he really enjoyed the experience.
The former Southampton defender has made a real name for himself since departing St. Mary’s to join Arsenal this summer.
And, his form was rewarded by England boss Roy Hodgson, who handed the youngster his full international debut against San Marino on Thursday evening.
“I really enjoyed it,” Chambers told reporters following the 5-0 victory.
“It’s an honour for me to play for my country and especially get a start, and we put in a performance and got a win, which is good.
“The first half they were tough to break down and it was a bit frustrating but we kept doing the things we wanted to do and eventually it paid off and we got the goals we wanted.”
England face Estonia in their next Euro 2016 qualifier.
