Oxlade-Chamberlain: Arsenal players good for England

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is pleased to see a number of his Arsenal team-mates involved with the England national side.

The midfielder is joined by Calum Chambers, Kieran Gibbs, Danny Welbeck and Jack Wilshere in the England squad for the current Euro 2016 qualifiers against San Marino and Estonia.

Oxlade-Chamberlain linked up well with Danny Welbeck to score England’s third goal against San Marino on Thursday night and he has gone on to discuss how good it is for the national setup to have a variety of Arsenal players involved.

“Being at Arsenal I’ve felt that [English] presence around our dressing room and to be able to come away with England with so many of your team-mates is a really nice feeling,” he told reporters.

“I think it’s really good for England and I think it’s nice for Arsenal as a club and the fans and we’ve still got Theo Walcott to come back. We can’t count him out because I’m sure he’ll be back in the squad.”
