West Ham midfielder asks for January Liverpool deal

Football Express News understands that Alex Song will ask Barcelona to cancel his loan spell with West Ham in January so he can join Liverpool.

The Cameroon midfielder joined West Ham on a year long loan deal this summer after becoming surplus to requirements at Barcelona, due to the form of Sergio Busquets.

Since arriving at the Premier League, Song has fully impressed and has gained plaudits from media men and pundits close to the English game, resulting in further interest from a number of clubs, who are keen to sign him on a permanent deal next summer.

However, Liverpool are keen to do business in January and it is understood that the former Arsenal man is keen for Barca to cancel his loan spell in the New Year for him to make the move.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to add Song to his squad and bolster his defensive midfield options.
