Manchester United keeper David de Gea is set to be subject to a bid from Real Madrid next summer, according to reports in Spanish press.
Spanish keeper David de Gea spoke to press earlier this week and informed them that he wanted Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo to return to Old Trafford next summer, saying: “Of course I would like Cristiano Ronaldo to come to Manchester United.”
However, it seems his wish to play alongside the Portuguese international may come true, but not with the Premier League giants.
Officials from Madrid have indicated that De Gea is the perfect option to replace Iker Casillas, who is expected to leave next summer after seeing his glittering career at Santiago Bernabeu turn sour over recent seasons.
Madrid did sign Keylor Navas this summer but it is understood that De Gea is still held in high regard after his days at Atletico Madrid and now with Man United.
