Real Madrid offer Arsenal target final deal

Real Madrid will offer Sami Khedira a new contract for the final time in a bid to stop him leaving for Premier League side Arsenal.

The German midfielder is fully expected to leave the Santiago Bernabeu in the January transfer window after seemingly losing his place to Croatian midfielder Luka Modric and international team-mate Toni Kroos.

Khedira has been struggling with niggling injuries of late but that has not stopped numerous clubs from showing interest in the former Stuttgart midfield man.

Arsenal have been the biggest admirers and have reportedly already agreed personal terms ahead of a January move, but Madrid are planning to trump that with a final offer of their own, according to media outlet ABC.

The likelihood of Khedira accepting new terms with the Spanish giants seem unlikely as it is known that he wants regular first team football and is keen on joining up with Arsenal’s German players such as Lukas Podolski, Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker.
