Arsene Wenger set to break club transfer record on PSG striker

Arsenal are ready to break their transfer record once more after boss Arsene Wenger gave the green light to sign Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan striker has found life with the French side hard after playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and has been linked with a move away from Paris Saint Germain.

The likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal have all shown interest with the latter tracking the former Napoli man this season on numerous occasions.

And, it is understood that boss Wenger is now ready to make a move in January after receiving the green light to spend £55m on the striker.

Such a move would beat Arsenal’s latest club record transfers for Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, further issuing a statement of intent from Wenger to the rest of the Premier League.
