Luis Suarez advises Arsenal target to ditch PSG

Former Spanish footballer Luis Suarez has claimed that Edinson Cavani should leave Paris Saint Germain if he is to become a better player.

Cavani has struggled to fit in at the Ligue 1 side and has reportedly grown unhappy at playing second fiddle to Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Uruguayan international has been strongly linked with a move out of the Parc des Princes, with Arsenal said to be leading the way to make a January move.

Suarez believes that Ibrahimovic is more complete than Cavani but the latter should leave to make his mark in European football.

“He’s become a normal player who just works for Ibra,” Suarez said to France Football. “Sometimes, despite wanting to make things better, you actually make the situation worse.

“So, I think it would be better for him and the club [if Cavani were to leave] because Zlatan is more complete and stronger.”

Cavani has scored three goals in nine league games this season for PSG.
