Italian striker remains happy with Liverpool life

The agent of Fabio Borini has insisted that his client still remains happy to fight for his place at Liverpool.

The Italian spent time on loan with Sunderland last season and was linked with a permanent move to the Black Cats, only to see such a move fall through following Luis Suarez’s sale to Barcelona during the transfer window.

The 23-year-old has since dropped down the pecking order at Anfield having been unable to jump ahead of Rickie Lambert or compatriot Mario Balotelli to partner Daniel Sturridge.

Despite this, his agent Marco de Marchi claims that Borini will continue to train and attempt to break in to Brendan Rodgers’ side.

“At this moment I am certainly not going to look for another club, as the boy is happy to remain at Liverpool,” he told Sky Sports News. “Let’s not forget he left a journey he already started at Roma in order to come to England.

“He has managed to find some space playing in the Champions League and starting in the Premier League. Things are progressing as expected.”
