Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has urged Mesut Ozil to recover quickly from his latest injury, tweeting that the German midfielder is needed.
Ozil missed training with the German national side on Wednesday morning to travel to Munich and undergo a scan on his knee, which identified a ligament injury which will now see the former Real Madrid man miss three months of football for the Gunners.
Ozil will now return to London and undergo his rehabilitation, which Arsenal officials hope will see him return quicker than usual.
And, his injury problems have been met with encouragement by team-mate Santi Cazorla, who has taken to Twitter to show his support, saying: “Arsenal Needs You!”.
Ozil played for the whole 90 minutes against Chelsea at the weekend which Arsenal lost 2-0; a result which further halted their stuttering start to the season.
