Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson is relishing the chance to sign a new extended deal at Anfield and sees his long term future at the club.
The England international joined Liverpool from Sunderland in 2011 but struggled to make an impact in the early months of his career at the Merseyside club.
However, his form last season and of late this campaign has been outstanding, seeing him keep his starting role for the England national side in the process and he has discussed his optimism in signing and new deal at the club.
“I am just concentrating on playing football. I am not worried about that [my contract],” Henderson told reporters.
“I am enjoying my football, I love this club and I want to be here for many years so that shouldn’t be an issue. I’ll let my agent sort that out, it’s nothing to do with me.”
