West Ham boss praises striker’s form

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has expressed his delight that new signing Diafra Sakho has settled so quickly.

The 24-year-old striker scored his fifth goal of the season during a 2-0 win against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.

“It’s that man Sakho again, he is in the right position. I think it killed their spirit. I’m happy because it was a well deserved win and another good performance from the team,” said the 59-year-old manager, speaking to the Club’s official website.

“We knew he was a good player, he scored 20 goals last year but we didn’t know how well he would adjust to the Premier League.

“His work rate, desire and his runs are so good. He has a great knack of being in the right place at the right time.”

The win moves The Hammers up to 7th and leaves struggling QPR bottom of the league.
