Schalke 04 have announced that former Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo is new head coach.
The Bundesliga side have won just two of their competitive games in all competitions this season and made the decision to sack Jens Keller following another 2-1 defeat.
After some consideration, the German club announced on Monday that former Chelsea midfielder and coach Roberto Di Matteo would be taking over as head coach immediately.
Di Matteo is famed for guiding Chelsea to the Champions League tile and will take up the role with Schalke, having taken just eight points from seven games.
