Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny has issued a rallying call to his team-mates, claiming they have had a tough run in the Premier League so far.
Optimism at the Emirates stadium this season is larger than ever after Arsene Wenger’s side won the FA Cup trophy in May, ending a nine-year wait for silverware at the club.
And, the arrivals of Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona and Danny Welbeck from Manchester United have further enhanced that optimistic approach.
But, a tough start in the league has seen the Gunners fall short of league leaders Chelsea, sitting nine points away from their London rivals.
Polish keeper Szczesny believes he and his team-mates can use the upcoming international break to forget their tough start and push on.
“We have had a tough run so far, but I would like to think that our start has been solid, not as good as we expected from ourselves,” he told Sky Sports News.
“But I believe that, after the international break, we can push on and get more points.”
