Cardiff City have made initial contact with West Ham United over midfielder Ravel Morrison about a loan deal.
The 21-year-old has fallen out of favour under Sam Allardyce at West Ham after the likes of Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia were signed, whilst Alex Song has been installed into midfield.
Those signings have seen playing time hard to come by for the much talked about England youngster and that has led a number of Championship sides to show interest in a loan deal.
Cardiff City are one of those that have been linked but problems currently with Morrison and a court case over an assault issue are at the moment keeping such a move from happening.
The Welsh side are still on the search for a new boss after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lost his job last week.
