Serie A round-up: Tevez upsets the San Siro, Roma win again

Football Express News reviews the weekend’s Serie A action, which saw Carlos Tevez score the only goal as Juventus beat AC Milan.

Cesena and Empoli got another goals galore weekend of Italian football under way with a 2-2 draw which saw the latter come from behind thanks to an own goal from Francesco Tavano and a Daniele Rugani leveller.

Champions Juventus then travelled to Milan to take on Pipo’s Inzaghi’s free-scoring side but the game proceeded to be a tight affair, settled by on goal from former Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

Serie A fans need not of worried though as Parma were back amongst the goals after scoring four last week against Milan.

This time, the won with three goals from Massimo Coda and Antonio Cassano (2), beating Chievo 3-2.

Elsewhere, Roma maintained their perfect start, beating Cagliari 2-0 thanks to goals from Mattia Destro and Alessandro Florenzi.

Inter Milan were also in action but they struggled against Palermo, relying once again on Croatian playmaker Mateo Kovacic to score the leveller in a 1-1 draw.

Fiorentina and Udinese beat Atalanta and Napoli 1-0 respectively, whilst Sassuolo and Sampdoria drew 0-0.

Finally, Hellas Verona beat Torino 1-0 thanks to Artur Ionita’s strike.
