Bundesliga round-up: Bayern draw, Dortmund struggle

Football Express News rounds up all the action from another superb weekend in the Bundesliga.

The weekend started with Hertha Berlin travelling to face Freiburg, a game which saw both sides looking to end their recent winless streaks, but the points were shared as a 90th minute winner from Ronny saw the visitors make it 2-2.

Saturday saw both Bayern Munich and unlikely league leaders Paderborn in action, with the former taking on Hamburg and the latter having a home tie with Hannover.

Pep Guardiola’s side struggled though, failing to break past a stubborn Hamburg defence and thus ending with a 0-0 draw.

Paderborn, however, set the pace with another excellent 2-0 win as Elias Kachunga and Moritz Stoppelkamp scored the goals.

Elsewhere on Saturday afternoon, Schalke and Eintracht Frankfurt fought out a 2-2 draw; Augsburg beat Werder Bremen 4-2; Hoffenheim had a good away win over Stuttgart and Mainz stunned Borussia Dortmund with a 2-0 win.

Sunday saw two games as Wolfsburg made up for their poor Europa League tie with Everton in midweek, beating Bayer Leverkusen 4-1, before Koln drew with Borussia Monchengladbach 0-0.
