Former Man United striker nets double in Real Madrid’s 8-2 win

Javier Hernandez was involved as Real Madrid thumped Deportivo La Coruna 8-2 on Saturday afternoon.

The reigning European champions have struggled in their start of the new La Liga season, having lost two of their first three games.

But, they bounced back with a superb victory over newly promoted Deportivo as they shipped eight goals at the Riazor.

Cristiano Ronaldo broke the deadlock early on as he headed in from an Alvaro Arbeloa cross, before James Rodriguez made it two shortly after, hammering his effort in from 20 yards.

Ronaldo was then on the scoresheet again, firing in from 30 yards, before the home side pulled one back following a foul in the box by Sergio Ramos.

Haris Medunjanin was on hand to tap past Iker Casillas and bring some respect back to the scoreline.

Gareth Bale was having none of it though as he added a fourth for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, before he added another 10 minutes later.

Ronaldo completed his hat-trick with just over 10 minutes to spare, before Jose Tosche pulled a second back for Depor.

Manchester United loanee Javier Hernandez would then come on to score a superb brace.
