Manchester City may lose Hart

England’s number one goalkeeper Joe Hart could be set to leave Premier League champions Manchester City this summer.

The 27-year-old has less than two years remaining on his contract whilst the recent summer arrival of Argentine stopper Willy Caballero has added extra competition for the number one jersey.

Despite a good start to the season, which included a man of the match performance against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night, Hart has yet to receive any contract offer.

Hart told the Daily Mail: “Anything about a new contract is news to me. I’ve heard nothing. I’ve got a year, nearly two years, left on my deal. That is all I am aware of.”

After a short spell out of the side last season following some indifferent displays, Hart regained his position as number one, as City went on to claim their second Premier League title.

Hart added: “I can’t moan about it and I can’t be too happy about it. It is the situation, and if I want to stay at this club it’s going to be the reality forever.”

City stars including captain Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Sergio Aguero all signed new deals this summer, with City manager Pellegrini saying he is “sure something will be sorted out with Joe.”
