Ronaldo dreams of United return

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he would love to return to Manchester United before he finishes his career.

World Player of the Year Ronaldo, who swapped Old Trafford for Real Madrid in 2009 for a then world-record £80m transfer fee, has admitted that he would be interested in re-joining United once his current contract with the European Champions runs out.

“I love Manchester, everyone knows that and I have said many times,” the Portuguese star told the Daily Mail.

“Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there, the supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day.”

Ronaldo, who many now class as one of the greatest ever players to grace the game, has scored an astonishing 255 goals in 250 games since joining Madrid and although he is fully committed to the Spanish giants, he has not ruled out a move back to Manchester in a few years’ time.

“I am happy here in Real Madrid and have four more years, but in the future you never know because they treated me unbelievably there.”

Since joining Los Blancos, the 29-year old has helped the club win two Copa Del Rey’s, La Liga, the UEFA Super Cup, the Supercopa de Espana and last season’s Champions League.
