Arsenal rule out Cavani move

Football Express News understands that Arsenal will not be making a summer move for Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan striker has been strongly linked with a summer exit from French side Paris Saint Germain, citing problems stemming from last season with boss Laurent Blanc and his absence from the team last November.

Cavani has started the season well for PSG, included in their opening Ligue 1 games, but his future continues to be questioned with the likes of Chelsea, Juventus, AC Milan and Arsenal all showing interest.

The latter had become even more interested earlier this week after hearing of scan results on French striker Olivier Giroud, which is now likely to see him ruled out until 2015.

However, we understand that Arsenal officials have spoken to Cavani’s representatives and confirmed that ‘no’ move will be made for the former Napoli man this summer.
