AC Milan confirm Fernando Torres interest

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has confirmed that his side are interested in signing Fernando Torres from Chelsea.

The Serie A giants are keen to add another striker to their tanks after Mario Balotelli departed for Liverpool in a £16m move earlier this week.

And, Galliani has confirmed that his side are willing to make a move for Spanish striker Fernando Torres, who has seemingly lost his place in the starting eleven at Stamford Bridge.

“We are approaching the final stages of the transfer window. Let’s see whether we can sign a top striker. That’s our most important objective at the moment,” Galliani said.

“Torres is definitely a top striker. We will see whether we can sign him or another attacker.”

Galliani has also confirmed that negotiations are underway to loan Marco van Ginkel from Chelsea.

“Signing Van Ginkel seems a realistic possibility,” he said.

“We have submitted an offer to Chelsea. We now await their response but we are fairly optimistic.”
