Football Express News understands that despite an agreement with Loic Remy, Tottenham Hotspur are ready to offer Manchester United a price for Javier Hernandez.

The North London side are ready to bolster their attacking options under new boss Mauricio Pochettino after failing to impress last season with Spanish international Roberto Soldado having a dismal first season in English football.

Whilst, Spurs have an agreement with French international Loic Remy, it is firmly understood that they have told Man United of their offer for Javier Hernandez as it became unlikely that Remy would decide on Spurs over an offer from Arsenal or Juventus.

The Mexican striker has failed to hold down a regular first team place at Old Trafford and does not look like doing that under new boss Louis van Gaal, who has already set his sights on a number of new strikers.

The 26-year-old joined United in 2010 and featured in 152 games, scoring 59 goals along the way.
