Arsenal struggling to seal Manolas deal

Arsenal’s hopes of signing Kostas Manolas from Olympiacos is fading due to a stall in personal terms.

The Greek international has been a long term target for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and a move was agreed by Arsenal officials following a relatively good World Cup campaign for his country earlier this summer.

Arsenal have already sold Thomas Vermaelen this summer and are keen to add extra cover to their defence, after already completing a move for youngster Calum Chambers from Southampton.

Goal.com understands that fresh talks between Arsenal and Olympiacos were held on Friday but personal terms have proved a sticking point.

Italian side Roma are also said to be interested, whilst the likes of Atletico Madrid and AC Milan have also been credited with interest.
