Falcao remains keen on Monaco stay

Radamel Falcao has dismissed rumours claiming he could leave Monaco this summer, insisting that he wants to remain at the Ligue 1 club.

The Colombia international has been strongly linked with a number of big European clubs this summer, despite having joined Monaco just last summer.

Falcao, who missed the World Cup with his country due to injury has gained interest from the likes of AC Milan, Juventus, Liverpool, Arsenal and most of all – Real Madrid, who had been keen to add him to their already – potent strike force.

However, the former Atletico Madrid man has reiterated his desire to remain with Monaco following his side’s win over Nantes on Sunday night in which he scored the only goal of the game.

“I’m happy here and I hope to stay,” the 28-year-old told Canal+.

Falcao’s appearance at the Stade de la Beaujoire was his first start for Monaco since suffering knee ligament damage in January.
