Man United set to complete Marcos Rojo signing

Manchester United are set to complete a move for Sporting Lisbon defender Marcos Rojo.

The Argentine defender has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer and it is now understood that a four-year deal on personal terms has been agreed.

Louis van Gaal’s defensive problems were all to clear to see as Man United lost to Swansea City at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon but the Dutch boss is said to have prepared a move for three-four new signings over the next two weeks.

One of those is Argentine defender Marcos Rojo, who performed well for his country at the World Cup this summer in Brazil.

It is understood that United have offered Nani and £16m for the full-back has been agreed, although final terms regarding Nani are still to be discussed.

According to our sources, Rojo and his representatives will once again meet with Man United on Tuesday when a deal could be completed.
