Chelsea defender David Luiz confirmed he has signed the contact for his big-money move to Paris Saint-German in an interview with Brazilian media, despite completion of the deal not yet being made official by either club.

The Brazilian has spilled the beans on his signing of a five-year deal with the French Ligue 1 side and it is understood he undertook his medical on arrival in Brazil for pre-World Cup training, by PSG physicians who travelled across the Atlantic to complete the necessaries.

Luiz told Globoesport: “I just concentrate on playing. I just signed a five year contract with PSG. But what we plan for today might not be right for tomorrow.”

Last month it was publicized on Chelsea FC’s official website that an agreement had been made with PSG for the transfer of Luiz, subject to a medical and the 27-year-old agreeing personal terms.

The deal is reported to be worth £50 million and an official confirmation of completion of the move is expected to be announced shortly.

Meanwhile, Luiz has already thanked Chelsea fans for their support during his three years of service to the west London club and has bid them farewell on Twitter:

“Tks CFC for this time of great partnership. I’m thankful for all! It’s a new challenge and together we ll go even further. Allez Paris!”
