Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Pepe Reina from Liverpool for £2.5m.
The Spaniard spent last season on loan at Italian side Napoli after being deemed surplus to requirements by Reds boss Brendan Rodgers.
His return to Anfield this summer left question marks regarding his future but his future was made all the more clear during the club’s tour of United States, when Reina was behind Brad Jones in terms of starting place.
And, it is now understood that the Spanish international will join Bayern Munich and link up with former Barcelona friend and Bayern boss Pep Guardiola.
The German champions made a £2.5m offer to Liverpool on Tuesday afternoon, which was accepted by Liverpool.
Reina is unlikely to feature much for the German side, with Manuel Neuer having a firm hold over the number one jersey at the Allianz Arena.
