Italian press Tuttomercato understand that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to make a summer move for Schalke 04 sensation Max Meyer.
The Bundesliga side has become a hot bed for talent lately with the emergence of Julian Draxler, who has now gone on to become an established German international and gain interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and more.
Liverpool have also shown interest, but whilst the signing of Draxler continues to seem unlikely, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has turned his attentions to another young Schalke 04 player in the name of Mex Meyer.
The 18-year-old made his debut in the 2012/2013 season for the Bundesliga side, making five league appearances but he followed that up with a successful 41 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring an impressive seven goals along the way.
And, those performances have gained plenty of interest from some of European football’s big clubs.
Liverpool are now said to be have prepared an £8m offer, but whether or not the German side will accept is questionable.
