Man United tempted to sign Turkish midfielder

Manchester United are considering a move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan, according to AMK.

The Turkish midfielder has been one of the most consistent performers in European football in recent seasons and played an important part in helping Atletico Madrid win the La Liga title last season, beating Barcelona and Real Madrid in the process.

However, his future has been heavily discussed in recent weeks after seeing the likes Filipe Luis, Diego Costa and Thibaut Courtois move to Chelsea.

Turan, 27, has openly admitted in the past that he would like to play in England during his career and interest from Liverpool and Manchester United has since developed with the latter considering a cash-plus-player bid.

Turkish paper AMK claim that United have prepared a £16m plus Shinji Kagawa.

Kagawa has struggled since joining United from Borussia Dortmund for £12m, but is seen by the Spanish champions as a big prospect and Diego Simeone would be keen to link him up with new signings Mario Mandzukic and Antoine Griezmann.
