Big Sam waits for Van Gaal’s decision on winger

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is keen to make a move for Wilfried Zaha but will wait to see what decision Louis van Gaal makes on the Manchester United winger.

Hammers boss Allardyce is keen to improve his attacking options this summer and not repeat the failings of last season.

And, the former Newcastle United boss sees 21-year-old Zaha as the perfect option, but he will wait until Manchester United have finished their tour of the United States to hear what decision Louis van Gaal makes on the England U21 international.

“I shall make judgements. After this tour I shall make judgements because I let all the players play and I know now more than before the tour,” Van Gaal told reporters on Sunday evening.

Zaha joined United last summer from Crystal Palace but was forced to go out on loan to Cardiff City, having failed to impress former boss David Moyes.

Allardyce has also made enquiries about HNK Rijeka striker Andrej Kramaric.
