Liverpool keeper struggling to find a new club

Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina is struggling to find a new club due to his large wage demands with AC Milan the latest side to end their interest.

Reina travelled and spent time with Liverpool during their current US tour after spending last season on loan with Italian club Napoli.

The Spanish international was deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield last summer after the arrival of Simon Mignolet and his place at the club remains the same this summer.

Napoli had shown interest in the making a permanent move for the former Barcelona man, whilst AC Milan have also been linked in the last week.

However, Reina is thought to have told both clubs that he will only make a permanent move if he is paid around £100,000 per week.

Liverpool have set a small £4m for the keeper, but it seems a deal for his to leave permanently is now unlikely as the season edges closer to beginning.
