Newcastle United told to pay full amount for Remy

Football Express News understands that Loic Remy’s potential move to Newcastle United has been put in doubt after Queens Park Rangers told their Premier League rivals to pay his full £15m asking price.

The French striker has been one of the most discussed players in this current transfer window as he looks to leave newly promoted Queens Park Rangers.

A move to Liverpool had been agreed with personal terms having been met and even a medical having taken place, but the Merseyside club decided to cancel the deal at the last minute, leaving Remy to look elsewhere.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked but both have since turned to other transfer targets, leaving Remy’s former club Newcastle United in pole position.

Toon boss Alan Pardew doubted the move earlier this week when talking to reporters and it seems that his quotes were correct after negotiations between Newcastle United and QPR stood still on Sunday.

QPR informed Pardew and his officials that Remy would only be allowed to leave for his asking price of £15m, making it now look extremely likely that the French international will remain in London.
