Hummels agrees personal terms with Man United

Football Express News understands that German defender Mats Hummels has agreed personal terms with Manchester United ahead of a summer move.

The World Cup winner has long been linked with a summer exit from Bundesliga side Dortmund after a long list of potential suitors showed interest following his solid performances for his country at the World Cup in Brazil last month.

La Liga giants Barcelona had shown increased interest in recent weeks with shirts displaying Hummels’ name and number even being sold near the Nou Camp.

However, it is now understood that the centre-back has agreed personal terms with Man United and will now wait to hear how negotiations over his transfer fee develop on Monday afternoon.

United officials are set to meet with Dortmund on Monday to finalize a transfer fee and hope to announce the signing in time for the new Premier League season.

The capture of Hummels will improve United’s defence massively after both Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand left the club this summer.
