United offer Vidal £6.3m pay day

Manchester United target Arturo Vidal has reportedly entered a decisive phase in talks over his future at Juventus.

Italian source TuttoSport claims the Chile international is holding discussions with his agent, having already spoken with the Serie A club’s hierarchy and manager Massimiliano Allegri.

According to the report, the next 48 hours are crucial to the process and an announcement could be made by the end of Sunday.

TuttoSport believes there is a £39million offer on the table from Premier League giants United, who are also willing to hand Vidal a lucrative £6.3m deal.

Earlier in the week the 27-year-old returned from a family vacation and underwent medical tests at Juve’s training complex.

The club was keen to establish his condition, amid concerns over last season’s injury problems, which saw him sidelined by groin and knee ailments.

He played a leading role in his national side’s run to the second round of the World Cup despite the feeling that he was not fully fit.

Boss Allegri is thought to be ready to renew the Italian champions’ interest in Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin if they fail to stop Vidal joining the Red Devils in a mega-money move.

Vidal has three years remaining on his current contract.
