Pedro: Barca ready to bounce back

Barcelona winger Pedro Rodriguez has claimed that the Catalan club are ready to bounce back in style after struggling in La Liga and the Champions League last season.

The Spanish international has been reported to leave the Camp Nou this summer but his time at the club has been guaranteed to be a fruitful one by new boss Luis Enrique.

Pedro, will link up with Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luis Suarez and youngster Gerard Deulofeu next season as the options Enrique has in terms of attackers.

And, he believes that with the added additions of Suarez and others, Barca are now in a position to correct their failings from last season and bounce back.

“I would like to be in the big games but these are decisions of the Coach we must comply with,” he is quoted as saying in AS.

“We can accomplish great things. We have the right conditions.

“There’s been lots talked about. I spoke with Andoni Zubizarreta and the club. I knew Enrique was coming and I already knew him and the constraints of staying at Barca.

“I’ve not had a conversation with the Coach. I’m happy to stay here. I didn’t hesitate and this is a great project.

“For me nothing has changed and I continue with the same idea. Enrique works well, intense and with strong belief and the best possible. Hopefully it’s a great year here.”
